DIY 1 - Wrap your bunch tulips like a real florist
Everyone needs a small gift from time to time. For example, when you visit someone, when it’s the teacher's birthday or when someone has provided a kind service. Because you don't want to give an excessive gift but don't want to come empty-handed, we have the perfect solution to your problem.
When you buy a bunch of tulips, the flowers are often rolled up in paper or in a plastic sleeve. We'll show you how to make a bouquet that looks like it was made by a florist in a few easy steps.
This allows you to create a budget-friendly gift. Make the bouquet personal by attaching a tag with a message for the recipient.
What do you need?
- Roll of kraft paper
- Brown cardboard
- White cardboard
- Jute rope
- 1 bunch of tulips
- Rubber band
- Adhesive tape
- Ruler
- Pencil
- Scissors
- Fineliner
- Perforator
Let’s do it!
- Remove the bunch of tulips from the packaging and arrange them into a bouquet. Take them apart and put a tulip in your hand one by one. This creates more space between the flowers. Make sure that the top of the flowers stays even. When you're done, you can put a rubber band around the stems to keep them together. Then wrap a piece of string around the stems so you can't see the rubber band anymore. Finish it off with a nice bow.
- Place the flowers on a piece of kraft paper. Fold the bottom of the paper inwards. Then fold the right and left flap over each other and secure with tape. Make sure the flowers are still nicely visible.
- Cut 2 tags from the pieces of cardboard. Make sure they are both a different size. This gives a nice effect when the labels are on top of each other. Make a hole in the middle of the labels with the perforator.
- You can decorate the tags with shapes or stickers. Then write a personal message on the labels for the recipient.
- Wrap a piece of string around the bouquet with the kraft paper near the stems. Hang the labels on the string and wrap the string around the bouquet a few more times. Finish it off with a nice bow. Done!
