Mopabloem
Mopabloem is the result of a collaboration between Ed Griekspoor and Pieter Dogterom. In 2012, they started this beautiful company at the Rijshornstraat 191. As of 2019, Pieter and his brothers are the full owners of Mopabloem BV.
We are trying to shorten the chain from bulb cultivation to tulips. We strive for good quality and try to shorten the market chain. This means that the customer is at the heart of the product and we can respond quickly and accurately to the market.
Automation and mechanisation are means to process our large quantities of flowers. Mopabloem has state-of-the-art automation, which means that large batches can be sold with the same quality. We therefore strive to deliver consistent high quality in our tulip season from December to May.
Quality
To be able to produce our large quantities, we of course need bulb growers who can help us with this. A major partner in this is Vidofleur. Vidofleur is a supplier who grows large batches of bulbs and prepares them for our market. Because of our direct ties, we have a good understanding of what our bulbs contain and what quality we can produce.
Vidofleur delivers tulip bulbs to Mopabloem in July and the bulbs are checked for the right quality as soon as they arrive. From here they go through a treatment process to make the most powerful product possible. We take care of the preparation of tulips in-house. We do this with our modern climate cells. Here we can prepare our bulbs optimally to make the best quality flowers.
